Sarnia Centre to Host Free Community Festival on Sept. 26

A four-hour celebration will bring together shoppers and vendors at Sarnia’s primary retail destination with live entertainment, games, and food samples from participating businesses.

Residents can enjoy free entertainment and food samples at a community festival at the Sarnia Centre on Saturday, Sept. 26. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the shopping centre's parking lot at 1375 London Road and is open to the public at no charge.

A live DJ and magician will perform throughout the afternoon, along with games and family activities. Several centre vendors will offer free food samples and special promotions while quantities last.

The festival marks the recent opening of a new Burger King location with drive-thru service at the centre. The fast-food restaurant opened in August and represents the latest addition to the 150,000-square-foot power centre.

The Sarnia Centre is home to major retailers including Metro, Value Village, Staples, The Brick and Dollar Tree, as well as restaurants and service businesses located across from Lambton Mall in Sarnia's primary retail area.

Well Grounded Real Estate, which manages the property, is organizing the event to thank customers and tenants for their continued support.

"The event is an opportunity to bring tenants, customers, and members of the local community together to celebrate and show our appreciation for their continued support," organizers said in a statement.
