We bought a home on a beautiful, quiet street in the North End of Sarnia many years ago. Our backyard faces Alexander McKenzie School and Trillium Villa Nursing Home. We always knew there was the chance of Trillium adding on to the home, but we were shocked when they decided to build at the back of their property instead of closer to Michigan.
We were never informed of the plans for the 3-story building and how close it would be to our neighbourhood! The houses close to this have all lost the use of a private backyard, and I am sure the much lower value of their houses due to this. We have constant traffic due to the construction, dust, noise and strong smell of tar! I’m disappointed that the owners of Trillium did not take into account our neighbourhood when building. Stuck with it now!
