The Judith & Norman Alix Foundation has launched its 2026 funding cycle, inviting organizations across Lambton County to apply for grants aimed at major infrastructure and capital improvements.
The deadline to submit funding applications is Friday, May 1, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. The Foundation expects to announce the successful projects later that month.
The Foundation targets capital projects, which generally refers to the physical bricks and mortar of a community. This focus supports the construction, renovation, or purchase of long-term assets rather than covering daily operating costs or wages.
Joe Alix, President of the Foundation, stated the organization’s purpose is to give back to the community that supported his family. He encouraged local organizations with meaningful ideas to apply.
Over the last 15 years, the Foundation has directed more than $8.6 million toward community initiatives. Many local landmarks have been improved through this funding, including the Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery and the Cancer Clinic at Bluewater Health.
Other past projects include:
To be eligible for funding, projects must be located within Lambton County. The Foundation often works with municipal and community leaders to identify where their support can make a lasting impact.
Full eligibility criteria and application details are available on the Foundation’s website.
