Weekend family programming returns to Sarnia’s Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery this month, following a pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the County of Lambton announced this week.
‘Family Saturday Studio Drop-in’ invites families and members of the public to the art studio every Saturday afternoon beginning January 28 for engaging, art-based programming.
Drop-in anytime between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. for a short, artist-facilitated studio
activity inspired by current exhibitions.
New activities will be offered every month, with the same activity running weekly for the entirety of that month.
The first series of programs, Circuit Trees, runs from January 28 to February 25, and
takes inspiration from Sky World’s celestial tree in Skawennati’s, ‘She Falls for Ages.’
Participants will learn about electronic components that can be used to make a paper
circuit and create their own illuminated tree.
Family Saturdays are free. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
