Ontario’s EASE Grant offers up to $60,000 for accessibility upgrades in Sarnia-Lambton, with applications closing May 7, 2026.

Organizations across Sarnia-Lambton have until May 7 at 5 p.m. EST to apply for Ontario’s Enhancing Access to Spaces for Everyone (EASE) Grant, which offers up to $60,000 in funding for projects aimed at improving accessibility and supporting active, healthy living for older adults and people with disabilities.
The grant is open to municipalities, incorporated non-profit organizations, and Indigenous communities. Funding can be used for a wide range of accessibility upgrades, including ramps, automatic doors, accessible washrooms, improved entrances and sidewalks, barrier-free pathways, and upgrades to parks, trails, and outdoor community spaces.
The province says projects that go beyond minimum accessibility standards will be prioritized.
Eligible improvements can also include additions such as mobility mats at beaches, accessible seating areas, lighting upgrades, and charging stations along accessible trails.
The funding is intended to help remove barriers and improve access to community spaces used by residents every day.
Applications must be submitted through the Transfer Payment Ontario system.
More information about the EASE Grant and application process is available through the Ontario government website at https://www.ontario.ca/page/enhancing-access-spaces-everyone-ease-grant
