The revived Young Professionals Network of Sarnia-Lambton will host its monthly meeting Tuesday, Oct. 4 at the Imperial City Brewhouse beginning at 6:30 p.m., with a focus on “De-mystifying working from home.”
The group, a branch of the Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce, invites young entrepreneurs, professionals and community leaders to connect with those who either run unique businesses from their homes, and are home-based employees.
The format does not include formal presentations or speeches, says co-chair Samantha Saucier.
“Our theme experts will be identified with different coloured name tags and introduced at the beginning of the night so you can ask them questions, or you can stay and socialize,” she said.
The events are open to anyone 45 and under, whether they are business owners, entrepreneur, working professional, recent graduate or a student.
The Young Professionals Network plans to meet once a month at various Chamber Member locations, offering casual networking events with professional development opportunities to retain young professionals in the community, encourage more representation in the Chamber, and give them a voice in the local community.
