Roadwork to impact Lakeshore, Canatara Park

Local motorists may want to note two extended road closures in June.

A section of Lakeshore Road will be out of commission for most of the summer, with a complete reconstruction taking place between Modeland Road and Blackwell Side Road

Detours will begin June 8 and last about 16 weeks, Lambton County said.

Another section of Lake Chipican Drive in Canatara Park is also getting an overhaul, requiring the park’s west entrance at Sandy Lane to be closed.

Construction is scheduled to begin Monday and last about four weeks, City Hall said.

Drivers can still access Canatara from the Christina Street entrance.
