Several Lambton mayors seeking another term
Several Lambton County mayors have officially filed nomination papers as the race toward October’s municipal election continues to take shape.

Several Lambton County municipal leaders have officially entered the race for another term ahead of Ontario’s 2026 municipal election.
Todd Case has filed nomination papers to remain mayor of Warwick Township. Case returned to municipal politics in 2022 after previously serving on council before stepping away in 2018.
In Dawn-Euphemia, longtime mayor Alan Broad is once again seeking re-election. Broad has led the municipality since 2014 and has twice secured additional terms by acclamation.
Gary Atkinson has also registered to run again in Plympton-Wyoming. Atkinson is aiming to continue in the role after first being elected mayor in 2022.
The announcements add to a growing list of municipal candidates across Lambton County preparing for the Oct. 26 election. Jeff Agar has already confirmed plans to seek another term in St. Clair Township, while Joel Field is campaigning for the mayor’s seat in Petrolia.
In Sarnia, Mayor Mike Bradley has not yet publicly stated whether he intends to run again. Bradley has served as mayor since 1988. Historically, he has filed his papers late in the nomination period.
Nomination papers for the 2026 municipal election must be filed by Aug. 21. Voting day is scheduled for Oct. 26.
