When local residents do begin using the Blue Water Bridge again they will pay more to visit and return from Michigan.
Starting April 1, passenger vehicles heading to the U.S will pay $5 Canadian, an increase of 75 cents, or $3.75 U.S.
The ConneXion pre-paid rate is increasing only 25 cents to $4.25 Canadian.
The Federal Bridge Corporation, which owns and operates the bridge, said the increase was needed because of operational and maintenance needs, traffic patterns and currency exchange rates.
The last rate increase was in November 2018.
