Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at LHSC – University Hospital, Tara Renee Pelcher Bird passed away at the age of 48. Loving mother of Malani Sage Brandon. Cherished daughter of Rena Bird and the late Robert Stone. Treasured sister of Winona Wright, William Bird, Sonny-Jo Bird, Ashley Stone, and Justyn Stone. Fondly remembered by her dearest friend Aleka Briody and her daughter Ireland, and by her cousins; Amanda, Angel, Tiffany, and Tanya Bird. Loved by her fur babies Mocha Cupcakes and Cocoa Muffins. Tara will be missed by her many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends too numerous to mention. Tara was a hard worker and was a dedicated postal worker for over 21 years. She was a longtime resident of Clinton Township, Mi and forged many lifelong friendships there. Tara was the life of the party, as soon as she walked in the room, you knew it immediately. Her positive attitude, bubbly personality, great sense of humour, and her kindness will not soon be forgotten. A funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation held two hours prior from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Cremation will follow. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Aamjiwaang Food Bank (cheques only at the funeral home please).
