It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Joseph "Mark" Anthony Boucher of Thedford, who passed away at the age of 49 on July 3, 2026, following a brief stay at Strathroy Hospital.

Mark was well known in the community, having worked for many years as a butcher at the local grocery store before becoming a labourer at the Thedford sawmill. Soft-spoken, kind, and gentle, Mark made many lasting friendships with those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Hockey was one of Mark's greatest passions, and in his younger years he was a talented goaltender for the Thedford Midgets. He was also a devoted Toronto Maple Leafs fan. In his spare time, Mark enjoyed watching The Price Is Right and never missed a game of Radio Bingo.

His brother, Matthew, will always cherish memories of playing army soldiers together in the bush and watching their favourite movie, Top Gun. His sisters fondly remember his love of WWF wrestling and *Star Wars*, interests that brought so much fun to their childhood together.

Mark will be forever remembered and dearly missed by his father, Louis Boucher, and stepmother, Sue Boucher; his siblings, Michele Boucher, Janine (Warren) Wilcox, and Matthew (Jodi) Boucher; and his stepsiblings, Aaron (Jeanette) Brown and Shannon (Jason) Manning. He also leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephews: Angejolie, Aliya, Amelie, Oliver, Grace, Hunter, Chelsea Elizabeth, Hannah, Cohen, Paige, and Kinsey.

Mark will be fondly remembered by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, who will cherish the memories they shared with him.

Mark was predeceased by his mother, Cindy Reid (2023), and his nephews, Tyler Cleveland (2021) and James Brown (2025).

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the paramedics, physicians, nurses, and all the healthcare teams who provided Mark with outstanding care and compassion over the past two weeks.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at a later date, with details to be announced.

FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS
