Grunte- Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Bluewater Health-Palliative Care Unit, Sarnia on Friday January 5, 2024. Peter Edward Grunte, age 84 years of Corunna. Loving husband of the late Willy Grunte (2019). Survived by his son, Brian Grunte and his wife Valerie of London. Pete was a devoted father to Todd Grunte and Shawn Grunte and his wife AmyJo all of Corunna. Much loved grandfather of Myles, Maizy, Liam and Molly. Pete will be fondly remembered by his daughter-in-law, Kim Heath and by his brother, Mike Grunte and his wife Barb all of Sarnia. He was predeceased by his sister, Marie Prout. Pete will be lovingly remembered as the guy that always wanted to give or receive a hug from almost any women he met. He was a long time member of the Optimist Club of Moore and enjoyed his involvement every year with their Operation Christmas Tree. He had a lifelong affection for cars, having bought, sold and traded many over the years and most recently he enjoyed his summers in his Mustang convertible. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Wednesday January 10, 2024 from 4-6 p.m. Cremation has taken place and his family will be holding a private graveside memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Sarnia and District Humane Society, Moore Optimist- Operation Christmas Tree or to Bluewater Health-Palliative Care Unit.
