Audrey passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026, in her 86th year.

She was predeceased by husband Cliff (2016), daughter Julie Butler (2022), in addition her parents Gertrude and Wilhelm and brother Jack Hanemaayer. She is survived by loving daughters Debbie (Ralph) Archer and Karen Christopher, cherished and loved grandsons Curtis Williams and Liam Christopher, sister Ann (Peter) VandenDool and nephews and a niece. Audrey was blessed to have kind, supportive neighbors who were very good friends that supported her and offered help before she could even ask. A heartfelt appreciative thank you to Lori and son Kevin Janess, Stephanie and Stephen McCabe and Doug Gibson. The family would like to extend special gratitude to all the medical professions who were involved in her journey, we couldn’t have asked for more kindness and care.
A keen-eyed, discerning woman, who worked hard her whole life. Audrey was someone who never left her opinions unsaid and always had a piece of advice to give, whether you asked for it or not. But behind all of that was the care and love of a person who wanted the very best for those she held dear. Her enormous generosity may not have always come with a kind word, but it definitely came with a well-prepared plate of food.
The hard exterior shaped by the life she lived was contrasted by the fun, life-loving spirit she showed, through her enjoyment of games like bingo and cards, calm evenings spent chatting on the porch or simply laughing at a good story—which she loved to do.
The peace she finds now is one we hope resembles an uninterrupted watch of Wheel of Fortune, the gentle sound of leaves rustling outside her home, and the quiet comfort of knowing her worries have finally faded away, with everyone she cared for safe, having loved her so much.

Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Audrey's wishes no services will be held. Sympathy may be expressed through charity of choice.
