Aaron Nava and Jorge Hernandez separate stems and roots of potatoes being harvested at Vrolyk Farms on Michigan Line. The city farm harvests upwards of half a million pounds of white, red and Yukon gold potatoes, with half of them converted to French fries sold at the Blue Water Bridge. The other half is sold through local grocery stores and private sales. Arthur Vrolyk Jr. says the farm has about 50 acres of potatoes, along with crops of carrots, cabbage and parsnips for local consumption. Glenn Ogilvie
